On being photographed
Being photographed is a strange experience for most people. Some love it, some dread it and most fall somewhere in the middle.
You donβt need to arrive at your wedding knowing how to pose. My job is reading the people in front of the camera: if youβre relaxed and expressive, Iβll let that energy carry the photograph, and if youβre unsure, Iβll guide things so youβre never left feeling awkward.
For much of the day Iβll photograph things as they happen. At certain points we turn our attention to making something more intentional.
Portraits, or those moments when youβre getting ready with your bridesmaids, are where I can take the lead. Iβll choose the space, work with the light, adjust the scene and direct you with a clear vision of the image weβre creating. Think of it a little like having a creative director for a moment: someone shaping the scene, while you stay present and enjoy yourself.
Before the wedding we would have already talked about the details and vibe of your day, and what matters to you. So when those moments do arrive, you can simply trust the process and enjoy it; Iβll handle it.
