Refreshing Autumn Wedding in Stevenage

As a passionate wedding photographer in London, I always had a goal of photographing weddings in different seasons. I believe each season brings its own magic and adorns the English nature with its particular charms and weather. On 27th September in 2019, I had the privilege of photographing a refreshing autumn wedding in Stevenage, England. Kelly and Rob, two wonderful zoologists from London, decided to celebrate their love at the Hotel Cromwell Stevenage. This vintage hotel with beautiful green gardens and a gazebo was perfect for jovial group photographs with the happy couple and their friends and family.
Kelly and Rob spent their hours of preparation in separate locations; the bride getting ready with her bridesmaids in the gorgeously decorated hotel room and the groom in their cosy house in Stevenage, where their family cat curiously observed the commotion. Kelly adorned her gorgeous lacy wedding dress and selected the perfect red lipstick that complimented the wedding colours. Her hair and makeup were done by a talented friend. Rob matched well with his red tie and the rose on his lapel.
With the final clink of champagne glasses, Kelly descended down the beautiful wooden staircase, and walked down the aisle. When Rob first caught sight of her, his eyes teared up.
After the ceremony, the guests gathered in the garden to celebrate together with the happy couple. The evening was filled with delicious food and drink, poignant speeches, and dancing - the atmosphere truly reflected the love Rob and Kelly’s guests felt for them on their special day. It was truly a joy to photograph such genuine displays of emotion - from laughter and happy tears to all the embraces. Moments like the ones I captured on that crisp autumn day at Stevenage always reinforce my love for wedding photography, and how wonderful it is to be witness to such abundance of love.
The playful animal-themed cake that awaited the guests after dinner was masterfully crafted by Shereen's Cakes & Bakes.
